"Nosy parker" nghĩa là gì?

"Nosy parker" hoặc "nosey Parker" là từ để chỉ kẻ tọc mạch, thích soi mói chuyện người khác. Từ này đã được sử dụng từ rất lâu, chủ yếu người Anh, Úc hay dùng và không có ghi chép gì về nghĩa của "parker".
Ví dụ
Try your best to stay away from gossip, no matter how juicy, and lead by example when others indulge (cho phép) their inner nosy parker. Shut it down or walk away.
The boys would notice lots of people walking past the phone box, and if someone answered the random call, the group's friend would shout: "Nosy parker!" down the phone.
“You might say he is a nosy parker,” Mr Condon said, adding, “nobody would like to be called nosy but we all have flaws (sai sót) and personality quirks (tật xấu) but that’s not murder.”
Happily for a nosey Parker like me there was a wedding on at the hotel and I had great admiration for the bride, standing with a pint of lager (rượu bia nhẹ) in-between getting her photos taken.
