"Chinese fire drill" nghĩa là gì?

"Chinese fire drill" = cách người Trung Quốc diễn tập cứu hỏa, nhưng thực tế đây là một phương pháp giải tỏa căng thẳng bằng việc bước ra khỏi xe phổ biến trong những năm 60 tại Mỹ. Đơn giản là đi một vòng quanh xe rồi về chỗ cũ. Ngoài ra, cụm từ này có nghĩa là (người/tình hình) lộn xộn, hỗn loạn (có ý chê bai người Trung Quốc là vô tổ chức).

His political career has been fraught with controversy (đầy tranh cãi) and includes a pair of 2017 apologies. One apology stemmed from a video he posted of himself and a passenger sitting in a car and yelling “Chinese fire drill” before the pair got out of the car, ran around it and switched seats.
For the uninitiated (không biết gì), a "Chinese fire drill" can be described as a form of vehicular musical chairs. Here's how it works: A car full of people, usually teenagers, stops at a red light. Everyone then gets out and runs around the car until just before the light changes back to green, with all participants jumping inside the closest door. Anyone who fails to get back into the car is left behind as the rest zoom off.
