"Dog does not eat dog" nghĩa là gì?

"Dog does not eat dog" = Chó không ăn thịt đồng loại của mình -> Người xấu, bất chính và tai tiếng thì không làm hại những người như mình.
Ví dụ
"Canis Caninam Non Est" meaning "Dog does not eat dog" was noted by Marcus Tarentius Varro, meaning that even a (supposedly) lowly creature like the dog has limits, if not principles, and will not destroy its own kind. However, modern times have seen the relevance of the opposite in human society and the phrase, "Dog eat dog" has found common usage.
I remember one of James’s New Statesman columns from that time in which he discussed the old Fleet Street tradition that journalists should not attack one another, or, as they liked to put it, “dog does not eat dog”. “But in that case,” James asked, “who gets to eat dog?” Beneath his benign appearance (vẻ bề ngoài tốt, nhân từ), James is a carnivore (loài ăn thịt).
In the YTC lecture on Security the Ekiti State governor showed his expert understanding of the precarious (bấp bênh, không chắc chắn, tạm thời) Nigerian security situation but literally pleaded for time and understanding of why the situation seemed insurmountable (không khắc phục được) for now. Which is understandable given the fact the Governor is the current Chairman of the ruling APC Governors Forum and a radical (cơ bản, triệt để) suggestion can threaten the security perspective that dog does not eat dog.
