"Kiss better" nghĩa là gì?

"Kiss (something) better" = Thổi phù cho đỡ đau -> Hôn lên vết thương để ai đó bớt đau và cảm thấy đỡ hơn.
Ví dụ
It was too much for Callum who punched Ben out of frustration (vỡ mộng, thất vọng) but it only encouraged Ben more. Ben said: "Ow that hurt. Want to kiss it better?".
Furious Callum punched Ben and yelled at (hét vào mặt) him to "shut up" (im đi), before storming out of the house as a laughing Ben invited him to "kiss it better".
When a child is physically hurt, it can help to ask them where it hurts specifically, and then offer to kiss it better. This is often enough to help stop them crying. My hypothesis (giả thiết) is the same could be applied for emotional wounds (tổn thương, nỗi đau về cảm xúc). As I was writing this blog post to you, I actually followed these steps, and I certainly feel soothed (xoa dịu).
