"Not know which end is up" = Không biết cuối cùng là cái nào lên -> Ngây thơ, khờ dại hoặc không được thông báo và không biết thông tin gì về việc nào đó.
Ví dụ
“That’s a very bad thing to do,” Davidson said. “If someone (under the influence of alcohol or drugs) goes underwater, they might not know which end is up. We don’t recommend anyone going in the water under the influence of anything.”
A fan should be able to wear their teams’ jersey proudly wherever they go, without fear of attack from an idiot who is so drunk he or she does not know which end is up and I blame the owners because they don’t care how much alcohol is bought as long as the bucks keep rolling in.
Get rid of (từ bỏ) self-doubt. If you are in a relationship with a passive aggressive the manipulation (thao tác) is meant to cause you to doubt what you do, what you hear, what you see and what you experience. If you give into the manipulative ploys (mánh khóe) of the passive-aggressive, you will soon not know which end is up. Somewhere inside is the nagging (cằn nhằn, la rầy) voice that something isn’t right. Do not ignore that voice!
