"The thin end of the wedge" = Cái đầu mỏng nhọn của cái chêm -> Sự kiện dẫn đến sự kiện quan trọng hơn; lo sợ sự bắt đầu của những yêu cầu hoặc hoạt động nhỏ sẽ dẫn đến điều nghiêm trọng và gây nguy hại hơn cho sau này.
