"What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over" nghĩa là gì?

Mắt là cửa sổ tâm hồn. Photo by  Alex Iby

"What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over" = Điều mắt không thấy thì tâm cũng chẳng buồn tới -> Bạn không thể đau buồn trước những điều bạn không biết; nếu bạn lơ đi và không quan tâm tới thì bạn sẽ không bận lòng (chỉ những điều phiền muộn, hoàn cảnh khó khăn bạn đang gặp phải nên tốt nhất bạn hãy làm thinh).

Ví dụ
As the Colombian author Juan Gabriel Vásquez wrote in his haunting (ám ảnh) novel about the country’s drug wars, The Sound of Things Falling: “What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over.”

“There’s a very good English expression,” he said. “ ‘What the eye doesn’t see, the heart doesn’t grieve over.’ I believe it’s more often used in connection to matters amorous (si tình, say đắm), but it does just fine for last night’s little escapade (hành động phiêu lưu).”

As the adage (ngạn ngữ) captured it well, “what the eye doesn’t see, the heart doesn’t grieve over”. Since there is semblance (vẻ bề ngoài của cái gì) of peace and tranquility (sự yên bình) brought about by revitalised (tái sinh) peace agreement (hiệp ước hòa bình); it is significant for President Kiir to canvass (đi khắp các vùng yêu cầu (mọi người) (ủng hộ về (chính trị)); đi vận động) the whole country.
