"Give us the tools, and we will finish the job" nghĩa là gì?

"Give us the tools, and we will finish the job" = Cho chúng tôi đồ nghề thì chúng tôi sẽ hoàn thành công việc. -> Cung cấp những gì họ thiếu hoặc không có thì họ mới làm xong việc được. (như là một lời đáp lại với người muốn bạn làm việc gì trong khi bạn lại thiếu trang thiết bị hoặc công cụ.)

Ví dụ
We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire. Neither the sudden shock of battle, nor the long-drawn trials of vigilance (sự cảnh giác, thận trọng) and exertion (sự cố gắng) will wear us down. Give us the tools, and we will finish the job.

Boris Johnson is a huge fan of Winston Churchill, who memorably said: “Give us the tools and we will finish the job.” He doesn’t need “the tools”, the Prime Minister (thủ tướng) just needs a level playing field. How can they continue to deny (từ chối) him one?

As Winston Churchill said, “Give us the tools, and we will finish the job.” The SEA Games lasted less than two weeks. But the planning and preparation took two years. Thanks largely to the foresight (sự lo xa), integrity (chính trực, trọn vẹn) and professionalism of the Philippine Sports Commission, Filipino athletes were prepared for any contingency (việc bất ngờ, tình huống phát sinh), regardless of what the opposition (or even their own organizers) would throw at them.
