"Live off the backs of (someone)" = sống nhờ vào lưng ai -> cụm từ này nghĩa là khai thác sức lao động hoặc tài nguyên của ai đó để chu cấp cho bản thân.
Ví dụ
The report shows he called cops "PIGS AND LEACHES." and said that, "ALL COPS ARE EVIL, STUPID, LAZY and live off the backs of everyday people."
I understand that if you can't accomplish (thực hiện) this it’s not because you are lazy and content to live off the backs of others' labor. No, that would be welfare (phúc lợi). If you can't do those two things, vote for Elizabeth Warren.
The criticism is partly justified. You can dispute the deep-seated need to not spend more than what comes in. We have done that in the Netherlands (Hà Lan) as well, and the argument that we shouldn’t live off the backs of future generations, well, there is something to that too.
