"Zip it" nghĩa là gì?

Còn nói nhiều nữa không! Photo courtesy: Aaron Shumaker

"Zip it" có từ "zip" là cái khóa kéo -> ngậm miệng lại.

Ví dụ
If you ever think I'm going to say something stupid, just tell me to zip it, will you?

Tennis great John Newcombe says firebrand (người đam mê một việc gì đó) Nick Kyrgios will have to "learn to zip it up" during the Australian summer given the ban hanging over his head.

After House Speaker (Chủ tịch Hạ Viện) Nancy Pelosi, dressed in funereal black, gaveled (cây búa của chủ tịch buổi họp) closed the vote approving the first article of impeachment (buộc tội) against President Donald Trump, a few Democrats—strictly against the speaker’s orders—had the audacity (cả gan) to cheer (vui mừng). Their fellow Democrats immediately shushed (bảo ai đó im lặng) them. The speaker, herself, shot them a zip-it glare fierce enough to strip (tước) someone of a committee assignment on the spot.
