"Age before beauty" = tuổi tác quan trọng hơn gái đẹp -> kính lão đắc thọ, người già trước, trẻ sau. Thường là cách nói vui khi nhường ai đó đi trước.

Ví dụ
There is no “age before beauty,” not for them. There is aged beauty (vẻ đẹp từng trải), and the beauty that seems only to come with having been around.

“Age before beauty,” he whispered as Cook walked in front of him, entering the room. Michael stepped into the room behind him and was dumbfounded (đứng người).

LEVITAN MUST HAVE BEEN working on the principle of age before beauty, it seemed at least one infinity later before Sarah found herself in the den (phòng làm việc nhỏ) that had also been George Protheroe's bedroom.

There were five men and two other women: a pretty brunette (da nâu) woman in her twenties and a woman in her sixties, standing further back. Before anyone could move, the older woman sang out, “Age before beauty!” and walked boldly (bước mạnh) through the doors.
