"Garbage in, garbage out" = rác vào, rác ra -> cụm từ này nghĩa là dữ liệu nhập vào sai thì kết quả xuất ra đương nhiên cũng sai.

Ví dụ
In computing, there is a saying, “Garbage in, garbage out.” If wearable fitness trackers (bộ theo dõi sức khỏe) are putting inaccurate step and sleep data into the algorithms (thuật toán) that quantify our activities, then people will be making health-related decisions based on inaccurate data.

Garbage in, garbage out. This rule of thumb applies to every field of human behavior — very much including politics. For example, our political conversation about poverty is based on a fact that most political actors think is true but really isn’t: that a persistently high share of the population lives in poverty.

You would expect that the figures listed above would provide plenty of food for thought, especially as every line of business, from marketing to finance, customer service to supply chain, is now so completely dependent on accurate data on which to base their insights. Yet in our pursuit of data quantity we seem to have forgotten one of the oldest tenets of the information age: ‘Garbage In, Garbage Out’.
