giáo sư mankiw hỏi là thượng nghị sĩ sanders muốn theo 'mô hình bắc âu' (hệ thống an sinh xã hội mạnh mẽ được rót nguồn vốn nhờ vào mức thuế khá cao...), thì có phải là sẽ giảm (thật lớn) lương bác sĩ không? (hiện lương bác sĩ mỹ gấp đôi đồng nghiệp ở châu âu), nếu sẽ giảm thì có cần báo trước cho gần một triệu bác sĩ ko, nếu ko giảm, thì lời hứa tiết kiệm/giảm chi phí y tế có thực tế không?
