One user found, “The assumption (sự khẳng định, xác nhận) that many people have about (rich people’s) intelligence” quite disconcerting (làm rối, làm hỏng). According to him, “Others who know of my wealth tend to hang on my words and opinions as if they are more profound than theirs or others, even if the topic has nothing to do with areas I’m knowledgeable in.” Weird.
I am not angry with Fury as a gay person or as a flawed feminist. I am instead, as a former athlete who has played at the highest level, deeply disappointed in him. I’ve been there, pumped with my own achievement, and primed to take on the world. In those moments, it was not education, or parenting, or socioeconomic (kinh tế xã hội) advantage that stayed my tongue. It was knowing there was at least one person out there hanging on my words and I’d better make sure the ones I spoke didn’t wound them.
