"Put my monkey up" nghĩa là gì?

"Put (one's) monkey up" = Làm con khỉ/thằng ranh trỗi dậy -> Khiến ai nổi cơn giận.

When someone is disrespectful it should put your monkey up. If our friends or our family members were to be mean to us, that would make us angry. So why not when it is someone who out ranks us?
