"A goody-two-shoes" một người tự cao, tự đại/ chế nhạo người tốt một cách thái quá (thảo mai). Ngắn gọn hơn người ta thường nói "goody-goody".

Ví dụ
The Bolt was like the one goody-two-shoes A-student somehow allowed to have lunch with the cool jocks (lính Ê-cốt).

They also expected us to have authentic (chân thực) images, not to be preachy (thuyết giáo) or do goody-goody programming.

Q: What were you like at school otherwise?
A: I was probably quite a goody-two-shoes, like a typical older child looking for people to think I was good, a prefect and things.

In summary: I take the garbage out every two months. And I am not necessarily a goody two shoes. I was raised by postwar immigrants (người nhập cư) who shopped in bulk, carried cloth bags, never wasted food because they were very poor in the old country, and tried to fix something if it was broken instead of just going out and buying a new one.
