A church in South Korea sprayed (xịt) salt water (nước muối) inside the mouths of followers out of a false belief it would help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, but by using the same spray bottle without disinfecting (không khử trùng) the nozzle (miệng, vòi), it resulted in 46 church-goers infected (nhiễm).
The church was consequently (là hậu quả của) closed and all its believers who attended the prayer sessions are being tested.
The new cases have fuelled the South Korean government’s vigilance (cảnh giác, thận trọng, đề phòng) to detect (phát hiện) new virus clusters, especially in city areas, even as it has managed to slow the spread of infections.
