"No more than snowball's chance in hell" nghĩa là gì?

"(No more than/ not a) snowball's chance in hell" = không có cơ hội nào cho quả cầu tuyết ở địa ngục -> nghĩa là không có cơ hội làm gì, làm điều gì vô vọng. "Hell" (địa ngục) từ xa xưa được cho là nơi nóng vô cùng.
Ví dụ
I don't honestly think there's a snowball's chance in hell this ban (lệnh cấm) will be lifted (bãi bỏ) by April 4, but if it is, we'll be ready and you'll have a place to go.
There is not a snowball’s chance in hell that the Olympics and Paralympics will go ahead (diễn ra) in Tokyo in July. The sooner that is confirmed, the better for all concerned (bên liên quan).
