"Wrap car around" nghĩa là gì?

"Wrap (one's) car around (something)" nghĩa là đâm xe vào (cột đèn, cột điện, cây...) khiến xe bị "gập" lại hoặc bao phủ ("wrap") vật đâm phải.

Ví dụ
If you wrap my car around a tree, I'll do more than say 'I told you so'.

That bottle waiting in her car? She'll try to empty most of it on her way back home. That means jail (vào tù) if she gets stopped by the law tonight. Or worse – she'll wrap her car around a tree.'

That's right, people will actually look at an object, the car they're about to rear-end (chụng phần đuôi xe), or the tree they're about to wrap their car around, and not see it. And yet, we persist (cố chấp) in driving and talking on the phone.

In this circumstance (trường hợp), the worst possible thing you can do is rent a car and drive to a meeting where you have to impress people with your mental acuity (trí tuệ sắc sảo) at the equivalent of 3 or 4 in the morning. You might not even make the meeting, because you very easily could wrap your car around a tree.
