"Civility costs nothing" hoặc "courtesy costs nothing" = văn minh, lịch sự chẳng đáng đồng nào -> tỏ ra văn minh, lịch sự cũng chẳng chết ai mà. Cũng tương tự câu lời nói chẳng mất tiền mua, lựa lời mà nói cho vừa lòng nhau.
