"Crowd out" nghĩa là gì?

"Crowd out" hoặc "crow out of something" = ùa ra, đổ xô ra, lũ lượt kéo ra. "Be crowed out" nghĩa là đuổi ra ngoài, không cho vào (vì quá đông).

Ví dụ
One reason that we didn’t want hospitals to get overrun (quá tải) by COVID-19 patients is that we’d crowd out everyone else needing care. But we’ve ended up crowding out many people needing care as a deliberate (thận trọng) choice — even where COVID-19 surges haven’t happened and probably never will.

If there is a silver lining (lớp lót bạc) to our current situation, it might be that our lives have slowed down. With the absence of our “daily grind” (công việc hằng ngày) (whatever that consisted of) we can now take time to try new things and to relish those things that were crowded out by our busy daily routine.

These objections (phản đối) lose much force in the current circumstance (hoàn cảnh). Normally, government borrowing from banks pushes up the interest rates (lãi suất), which discourages private investment (đầu tư tư nhân). Thus private spending (chi tiêu) is crowded out by government spending financed (tài trợ) by borrowing.
