"Get it in the neck" = bị cho một vố đau -> bị quở trách trừng phạt nặng nề.

Ví dụ
Long before Heston Blumenthal put it on the culinary (xào nấu được) map, the Thameside village of Bray was the unlikely home of British horror, and Black Park, near Slough, was its Transylvania. Here, many a Bri-Nylon-clad actress would get it in the neck from Christopher Lee’s Count Dracula.

Against that backdrop, the airlines are demanding $58 billion. If they don’t get it, they are telling the government they will start firing workers as soon as next week. As usual, the little people will get it in the neck while corporations and business leaders gorge (nhồi nhét) themselves at the public trough (máng nhào bột).

I offered him a chair to sit. It was a question of my honour. Though he was content to sit on the floor, because he himself considered anything – to which something as inconvenient as honour was now linked – rather unnecessary. He was powerful in a gruff (thô lỗ, cộc cằn), baulky way; if honour were to confront him, it would itself get it in the neck.
