"Loom large on the horizon" nghĩa là gì?

"Loom large" = bóng to lù lù -> nghĩa là hiện ra lù lù, hù dọa người khác. "Loom large on the horizon" nghĩa là có ảnh hưởng lớn, quan trọng (sự kiện sắp tới, mối đe dọa...)

On the health side, two grim milestones (mốc lịch sử) loom large, with the world closing in on 1m confirmed cases, and 50,000 deaths. The virus is rampant (hung hăng) in the US, blasting through 200,000 infections (ca nhiễm), with New York alone now having more cases than any nation save Italy or Spain.

The national economy (nền kinh tế quốc gia) is also a victim (nạn nhân) of the Corona lockdown, which has delivered a body-blow (giáng đòn mạnh) to the already slowed-down economy, with damage yet to be assessed (đánh giá). Dark clouds loom large on the economic horizon, foreboding (điềm báo) worse in coming weeks and months.

In general, a recession (suy thoái kinh tế) occurs when the economy declines because people are buying fewer goods and services. With temporary business closures (đóng cửa kinh doanh tạm thời) all over the world, recession fears loom large on the horizon, and investors (nhà đầu tư) are looking for the safest possible places for their hard-earned money.
