"(One) (has) never heard of (any) such a thing!" = chưa nghe thấy điều như thế bao giờ -> nghĩa là vô lý, khó tin.

Ví dụ
First thing I did after cleaning fish (làm sạch cá) was to pop a slice of wheat bread into the toaster (lò nướng). A little butter and a slather (lượng lớn) of Roark's jelly had the toast ready to try. Redbud jelly was all new to me. I'd never heard of such a thing. Friends and neighbors, it is delicious (ngon).

A year ago my son purchased a 2014 Ford Fusion. We recently went in for the 30,000-mile service only to find out the car had 11 swollen lug-nuts on the wheels. I had never heard of any such thing, so I googled “swollen lug-nuts” (phình đai ốc) only to find that there is a huge class action suit (việc đòi bồi thường thiệt hại tập thể) in progress.

At first, the female Auschwitz survivors (sống sót) I’ve interviewed said they’d never heard of any such thing. Eventually, however, after I returned to the question several times via different topics, a few women admitted (thừa nhận) to hearing that a handful mothers (nhóm các bà mẹ) who arrived in Auschwitz with small children did indeed try to hide (che giấu) to save their own lives.
