"Pass/write a bum check" có cụm "bum check" tương tự "bad check" nghĩa là chi phiếu ma. Người nào "pass bum check" nghĩa là họ đã ký séc với số tiền lớn hơn số tiền thực có trong tài khoản ngân hàng.
