"Tip off" nghĩa là gì?

"Tip off" nghĩa là bí mật báo cho cơ quan chính quyền. Giống như "anonymous tip" là ẩn danh báo tin (về các hoạt động phạm pháp, tội phạm...). Trong bóng rổ, "tip-off" nghĩa là bóng được tung lên trước khi trận đấu diễn ra. Nghĩa khác là bắt đầu một sự kiện.
