"Bump (up) against (someone or something)" nghĩa là đâm sầm vào, va, đụng.

Ví dụ
Don't say a word. Just breathe heavily. Moan a little. I'm going to bump against the door a few times.

Every bump seemed to take him by surprise, and Jay watched him swerve (ngoặt) and weave (luồn lách) and bump against the rider to his left.

I felt him bump against something solid and took the opportunity (cơ hội) to press him back into it, pushing myself as close to him as physically possible. His breath quickened (thở gấp) along with mine, and he groaned (rên rỉ) as he pulled me against him.

Relief comes in some measure from knowing others care. It comes too from rituals (nghi lễ). Friends attend a viewing or a funeral (đám tang), throw their arms around the grieving (đai buồn) person, share stories about the deceased (người quá cố). But what happens when the rituals bump up against rules for a pandemic (đại dịch)?
