"The eyes are the windows of the soul" -> nghĩa là đôi mắt là cửa sổ tâm hồn.

The eyes are the windows of the soul. No one knows the origin of this saying, but it is still used even as the most sophisticated (phức tạp) brain science continues to develop.

Shakespeare – among others – is credited with observing (quan sát) that "the eyes are the window to the soul." Maybe that’s one reason I’ve never been a fan of sunglasses. We lose so much, when we put "shade" between our eyes.

Here in the U.S., in the grind of the pandemic, sound has become a shared experience (kinh nghiệm chung), in joy and sadness. The eyes may be windows to the soul, but these days, as isolation (cô lập) persists, the ears feel tethered (trói buộc) to our hearts.

“Eyes are the windows to the soul,” said Shakespeare, but he was only half right; what he neglected (hờ hững) to mention is that not only do we look into the windows of the eyes to see the soul, but we also look out of the windows of the eyes to see the world, for fully 80% of the information that comes into our brain passed through the eyes!
