"After a while, crocodile" nghĩa là gì?

"After a while, crocodile" nghĩa là cách chào tạm biệt vui vẻ, tương tự "see you later, alligator". Từ "crocodile" hay "alligator" thêm vào sau chỉ cho có vần điệu mà thôi.
Ví dụ
A: "See you alligators later," I shouted as I walk away.
B: “After while, crocodile,” Danny called after me.
“After a while, crocodile,” she replied as the four Grabers headed for the door. When she returned to the table, Rosemary was taking the last pie from her wagon. “Where did that come from, the part about the alligator and the crocodile?" she asked.
“Nice car,” Mom says, peering out the window. I give her a quick hug and say, “See you later, alligator.”
“After a while, crocodile,” she answers. She started this when I was little and petrified (chết điếng) to go to school because I was afraid she was going to up and die while I learning addiction, like my dad did. "We don't say good-bye because we know we're going to see each other again soon, right, Rinnie?"
