"Six degrees of separation" nghĩa là gì?

"Six degrees of separation" = sáu độ cách biệt -> nghĩa là bất kỳ hai người nào cũng có thể có mối liên hệ với nhau qua nhiều nhất là 6 người khác mà thôi. Đây là khái niệm được phát hiện đầu tiên trong câu chuyện 'Lancszemek' ('Chuỗi xích', xuất bản năm 1929) của tác giả người Hungary Frigyes Karinthy, một nhân vật đặt cược với những người bạn đồng hành rằng anh ta có thể kết nối với bất kỳ ai trên trái đất mà họ chọn thông qua không quá năm người quen, chỉ một trong số đó anh ta phải đích thân biết.
