"It's five o'clock somewhere" = ở đâu đó đang là 5 giờ -> 5 giờ thường là giờ tan làm, không ai làm việc nữa, người nói câu này thường là vì muốn uống rượu.
Ví dụ
I eyed the bottle of vodka on the kitchen counter, then the clock, and then the bottle. How about a martini (loại rượu), Sam? It's five o'clock somewhere, right? And then I felt like a freak. My God, it wasn't even ten in the morning.
“Gordon,” Verna interrupted him, “it's only four-thirty, not even five o'clock yet.” I can still hear Gordon answering with a smile, “Oh, Mother, you know it's five o'clock somewhere.” I jumped up from my chair and offered to get the glass of scotch for him.
Fiona shuddered (rùng mình). "I need a drink."
"I have iced tea."
"Perfect. And, honey, make mine a Long Island Iced Tea. It's five o'clock somewhere.”
“Uh. . .you do realize there isn't actually any tea in the cocktail. It just looks like it. Not to mention it's complicated to make. I don't have half the ingredients it would take."
