"Get/be kicked to the curb" hoặc "kick (someone or something) to the curb" = đá vào lề đường -> nghĩa là sa thải, từ bỏ hoặc loại bỏ.

Ví dụ
Afraid of being kicked to the curb, he just hung up the receiver and went to sleep crying.

"It looks like I've been kicked to the curb." I said trying to regain her attention.
She looked up and then down again into her file. "Yeah, but don't feel too bad, whenever Jacob comes around I get kicked to the curb too. It's nothing personal."

I would urge anyone reading this book to develop a plan as well, as there is a very high probability that you will ultimately be kicked to the curb. Once the day arrives, have it planned out down to the time you are getting up in the morning to the calls you are going to make.

Don't be afraid to fall when you miss the curb or even get kicked to the curb. Sometimes our own experience will put fear and doubt in us and may make us want to fall or fail, but we are part of something bigger and we must rise and get back up from our fall, turn our failure into a successful attitude comeback and do something everyone thought we were able to do.
