"Have the patience of Job" nghĩa là gì?

"Have the patience of Job" = có lòng kiên nhẫn của Job -> nghĩa là rất kiên nhẫn và tin tưởng, ngay cả khi trong tình huống khó khăn. Job là một nhân vật trong kinh thánh, người có lòng tin không thể lay chuyển vào Chúa mặc dù có vô số phiền não do Satan gây ra cho gia đình và tài sản của anh ta.
Ví dụ
“I’ve been told I have the patience of Job,” Judson said, chuckling (cười thầm), “because I like to help the elderly, who can’t always figure this stuff out and find it confusing. I try to keep things very simple and not use language that will make it more confusing. I like to take my time and have no issue sitting down with someone to explain what I did to their machine and why.”
You have to have a knack (mánh khóe) for working with a parks director, a city council, city officials and a mayor. You have a lot of people to answer to, and you have to have the patience of Job to help them understand how the golf industry works. None of that is even close to easy.
I once had to detangle (gỡ rối) my hair for hours after one session left it heavily knotted. It was a nightmare and I actually thought I’d have to cut some of them out! Luckily, I have the patience of Job, so I just sat there working through it knot after knot after knot…
