Students will receive an email communication to their ACM student email account that outlines the details of the virtual (ảo) commencement (lễ phát bằng). Starting on Wednesday, Nov. 11, local graduates may pick up their graduation invitations, tassel, cap, and gown at the Advising Center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday prior to the virtual ceremony (buổi lễ).
This time of the year isn’t just for sports apparel (quần áo) shopping. For seniors (sinh viên năm cuối) graduating in December, it’s also about ordering their cap and gown for winter graduation. But thanks to COVID, once again, graduation is canceled. So are seniors still buying their graduation gear? The answer is yes.
All vehicles will be asked to arrive at 5:30 p.m. and enter through Opportunity Avenue. All other entrances will be blocked. Students should be dressed completely in cap and gown on arrival. Students will check in at a registration table in front of the SGTC gymnasium (phòng thể dục) and receive a graduation card and final instructions.
Details on the virtual ceremony, as well special photo studios that will pop up across campus in November and allow students to take cap-and-gown photos, will be shared with graduates soon.
