Have said it before, will say it again ... the iPhone 8 "without" Touch ID is a looming (lù lù) catastrophe (thảm họa) ! ... Tim Cook very-likely knows this ... it's the single biggest R&D gamble Apple has made in a long, long time ... Apple made a Tech Gamble on Touch ID (under Glass), and it didn't pay off ... at least by the Intro of the iPhone 8 ... as such, IMO, only the Extremely Young and Extremely Dumb will buy-into the iPhone 8 sales pitch (that Facial Recognition / Face ID is the greatest thing since indoor plumbing) ... most will balk at the iPhone 8's price AND certainly w/o Touch ID (under Glass).
Now that summer is becoming a hazy (mơ hồ) memory, some (relatively) consistent (kiên định) peace seems to be returning to the hallowed (thiêng liên) confines (ranh giới) of the Quiet Car. Ever since Metro-North started the program back in 2011, I’ve considered it to be the greatest thing since indoor plumbing. When it functions as intended, it’s a thing of beauty, a blessed haven of peace and relaxation before and after a long day in the bauxite (bô xít) mine (mỏ). When it doesn’t, well, this grizzled railbird tends to become a Quiet Car Curmudgeon.
