"Not a bad sort" nghĩa là gì?

"Not a bad sort" = không phải loại tệ đâu -> nghĩa là nhìn chung không phải loại người cáu kỉnh, xấu tính, khó chịu.

Ví dụ
The thing about Alex is, he's not a bad sort of fellow, nor is he insensitive (không nhạy bén) to other people's feelings. Raiff gives us enough context of his life so we understand his reluctance (miễn cưỡng) to turn away from his family, with whom he's so emotionally close.

Muscat’s successor, the present prime minister, actually defends Muscat, saying that he’s not a bad sort. Unlike Konrad Mizzi, who has now been booted out (đuổi, tống cổ) of the Labour parliamentary (nghị viện) group.

“You’re not a bad sort,” she continues, looking at me sappily (hạnh phúc). Blankly. Her smile is turning generic and there’s a familiar rush (luồng) of delight and disgust coursing through me. “Nice of you to say, darlin’,” I say, pushing away the bad feeling, and she giggles again. “You’re a hoot.” She snorts.

The Home Office's first view was to refuse (từ chối) his request for nationality in 1952, but senior figures at the Home Office decided that driving offences (vi phạm), and there were almost 40, were not sufficient grounds for refusal. Joe was pleased to learn he was described informally by one official as 'not a bad sort of fellow'."
