"Lend your name to" nghĩa là gì?

"Lend one's name to" = cho mượn tên -> nghĩa là cho doanh nghiệp, tổ chức đứng tên (mình), công khai ủng hộ họ.

Ví dụ
You’re very selected in what you lend your name to. Why was this a campaign (chiến dịch) one you wanted to get involved with?

For Hollywood’s top celebrities (người nổi tiếng), it’s easy to write a check (tấm séc) to support a cause or lend your name to a charity to help them raise funds. However, when celebrities give of their time, the results can be even more powerful than any sum of cash.

Hollywood is truly an interesting place. You would never in a million years see a celebrity align (xếp hàng) themselves with a gun company, lend their name to it, and then sell it off for hundreds of millions of dollars since they are “woke” about gun violence and everyone who supports guns is in the wrong…yet alcohol kills way more people each year, and exceeds the economic cost of gun violence significantly. I guess one kind of death and destruction is perfectly fine to make money off of and support?

Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana led the effort to encourage his GOP colleagues to lend their name to the amicus brief, telling Republicans in an email: Trump is “anxiously (căng thẳng) awaiting the final list.”
