"Youth is wasted on the young" = thanh niên lãng phí tuổi trẻ -> nghĩa là người trẻ không hiểu giá trị, đánh giá cao những điều tốt đẹp nên khi về già sẽ khao khát hơn.

Ví dụ
George Bernard Shaw said that youth is wasted on the young. As millennial and Generation Z consumers begin to flex their financial might, banks cannot overlook (lờ đi) these ‘youths’.

Whoever said youth is wasted on the young didn't know Salenah Cartier. The 17-year-old Kingwood resident has an unwavering (vững vàng) persistence (kiên trì), entrepreneurial wit, and now, she has two college degrees. She is the youngest person to graduate from the University of Houston in 2020 after earning her bachelor's degree in psychology and a certification in corporate entrepreneurship from the C.T. Bauer College of Business.

'They say youth is wasted on the young and whilst (đôi khi) that's not true for everybody - like Emma - it is true for me because I matured very late,' he said. 'I feel very lucky that I have someone like Emma at this age, it's changed my life and I hope I can give her the kind of help and support that takes a lot of time to discover and amass (tích lũy).'

Anyone who believes that youth is wasted on the young, or that all young people have swallowed (nuốt chửng) the canard (tin vịt) that voting doesn’t matter, has never encountered PUSH Buffalo’s Street Team.
