"Bald as a billiard ball" = trọc như quả bóng bi-a -> nghĩa là đầu trọc lốc, không một cọng tóc.

These are the people, and I am trying to be as gentle and inoffensive as possible here, who are as bald as a billiard ball. You can only imagine how they feel when they walk down the supermarket aisle on their way to buy a tube of toothpaste and are confronted with row upon row of shampoos.
That means they could be used as an intervention (can thiệp) for people in the early stages of pattern baldness, but they wouldn't bestow (tìm chỗ cho) cascading (tầng lớp) tresses to someone who has been as bald as a billiard ball for several years.
Anyway, all this is moot (tranh luận). At least until the government allows extreme Hollywood waxers back to work. But now, the new me is thinking, why should I be as bald as a billiard ball? Am I confident enough to not be beach body ready at all times, even in snow?
This could prove useful in treating (điều trị) people going through the early stages of pattern balding. Unfortunately, not for someone who has been as bald as a billiard ball for several years.
