"Dead-tree format" nghĩa là gì?

"Dead-tree format" có format là dạng, dead-tree là cây đốn (giấy làm từ cây) -> cụm từ này nghĩa là bản in của tài liệu trên máy tính.
Ví dụ
Give me a dual-display with a hinge (bản lề) that closes, like a thin, hard-bound book. Put solar cells on the outside of the case, so I rarely (if ever) need to charge it. Give me enough storage that I can stuff all my PDFs and EPUBs on there and just enough processing power that it can render the above without too much difficulty. I may never need to buy a dead-tree-format book again.

But we have an egalitarian (chủ nghĩa quân bình) policy — we don’t mind if they read it in the dead-tree format or if they read it online, because we charge them the same amount of money.
