"Free and clear" -> nghĩa là hết nợ.
Ví dụ
After paying on it for five years, I finally own my car free and clear!

A person owns a house free and clear if he has paid off the mortgage (tiền thế chấp) and no creditor has filed a lien (quyền cho phép chủ nợ nắm giữ vật thế chấp đến khi con nợ thanh toán hết nợ) against it.
