"Here lies one whose name was writ in water" = nơi đây yên nghỉ người đã được "ghi danh" trên nước -> nghĩa là danh vọng, và thực tế là, cả cuộc đời cũng trôi qua rất nhanh mà thôi.
Ví dụ
The coffered ceiling (trần nhà) in the room where he lay dying was also decorated with daisies (hoa cúc), and he is buried with a gravestone bearing his self-penned epitaph about dying in obscurity 'Here Lies One Whose Name Was Writ in Water'.
“Here lies one whose name was writ in water,” is the bitter (cay đắng) description, etched at Keats’s dying request, the final sentiment from a poet who believed his words would fade into oblivion (quên lãng).
Keats gave instructions for his headstone to be engraved (khắc lên) with the words “here lies one whose name was writ in water”, and visitors to Rome’s Protestant cemetery can still make a pilgrimage (hành hương) to see it today.
Flanked by the river thames on one side and an ox-bow lake on the other, a circular structure (cấu trúc) has been built using rammed stone directly from the site. The installation takes its name from the inscription on poet john keats’ gravestone, which reads, ‘here lies one whose name was writ in water’.
