"History is bunk" nghĩa là gì?

"History is bunk" có history là lịch sử, quá khứ, bunk là vớ vẩn, vô nghĩa -> cụm từ này nghĩa là hãy sống với hiện tại, quên quá khứ đi.

For forward-looking growth enthusiasts (người đam mê), “history is bunk,” as Henry Ford put it. Like the robotics pioneer (and founder of Fujitsu Fanuc) Seiuemon Inaba, they believe that for technological innovators (người đổi mới), “the past doesn’t exist.
The point was not to show that history is bunk but to show that it is interpretative (nghệ thuật trình diễn). You can, with a bit of imagination, conjure up almost any narrative you like.
And so at some point between 1997 when I quote (trích dẫn) that paragraph in my book, and 2004, when the book was published, Dylan had a complete re-think and decided that history is bunk. I’m guessing what happened is he started work on Masked and Anonymous.
The news article in which Henry Ford is quoted as saying "History is bunk" offers an intriguing (hấp dẫn) puzzle to the modern reader. What did Henry Ford mean when he said: "History is bunk. What difference does it make how many times the Greeks flew their kites?"
