"Recession obesity" nghĩa là gì?

"Recession obesity" có recession là suy thoái, obesity là bệnh béo phì -> từ này nghĩa là tình trạng tăng cân trong thời kỳ kinh tế suy thoái, có thể do căng thẳng vì công việc không ổn định, tài chính bấp bênh, ăn nhiều thức ăn nhanh (để tiết kiệm tiền) v.v...

As unemployment and financial worries increase during this era of global recession, so too do sales of high calorie indulgence items (Miles 2009). Nutritionists call this phenomenon “recession obesity” and attribute (quy vào) it to the low cost of junk food relative to healthier alternatives (Everett and Grogan 2009).
In America, they call it recession obesity. First, you lose your job and the health insurance (bảo hiểm) that goes with it. Then you start cutting back on expenses (chi phí). The gym membership goes. Hospital visits are delayed. Out of frustration, you start binging on comfort food anything cheap and filling. Next thing you know you wake up on the couch at 4am, buried under a pile of Crunchie wrappers.
