"What God has joined together let no man put asunder" = Chúa đã tác thành hai con, không ai có thể chia lìa -> nghĩa là hôn nhân trong đạo Cơ đốc được Chúa chứng giám, không ai được chia lìa đôi lứa.
Ví dụ
Those opposed (phản dối) to absolute divorce invariably (vẫn luôn vậy) invoke the biblical injunction that “what God has joined together let no man put asunder.” Admittedly, what should not be severed or put asunder is a happy and holy marriage. However, a union which has become unholy, horrific and dysfunctional is an irretrievably dead marriage. There is nothing left to put asunder.
Divorce — especially in cases of abuse, addiction and infidelity (bội tín) — can be the best option, one most often initiated by women. In my Catholic parish (địa phương) in the 1950s and ’60s, we knew only one child whose parents were divorced. I now wonder how many women felt trapped in their marriages, by fear, by potential stigma, but also by the religious imperative that what God has joined together let no man put asunder.
Due to controversies (tranh cãi) surrounding Medikal’s fraternity (tình chị em) and past relationship with Sister Derby, the couple are often subjected to trolls. They, however, have both proven over time that “what God has joined together let no man put asunder.”
Remember, that long after I’m gone, my hand will rest upon you, my prayer (lời cầu nguyện) will hover over you like a cloud in a breezeless (lặng gió) sky! Greater still, What God has joined together, let no man put asunder! I guess this is God’s way of extending your vacation by court order! ?
