"Window tax" nghĩa là gì?

"Window tax" = thuế cửa sổ -> nghĩa là thuế bất động sản dựa trên số cửa sổ có trong nhà, ở các nước Anh, Pháp và Ireland trong giai đoạn thế kỉ 18 và 19 (được ban hành ở Anh và xứ Wales năm 1696 và được bãi bỏ 155 năm sau, năm 1851. Ở Pháp được ban hành năm 1798 và bãi bỏ năm 1928. Ở Scotland được ban hành năm 1748 và bãi bỏ năm 1798.). Để tránh thuế, nhiều gia đình đã dùng gạch bịt cửa sổ lại.
