"Bamboo ceiling" = trần nhà bằng tre -> nghĩa là tình trạng phân biệt chủng tộc với người châu Á, khiến họ khó thăng tiến trong công việc hơn.

Ví dụ
While Asian Australians continue to be underrepresented in leadership positions, some young women have managed to break through the "bamboo ceiling".

The “bamboo ceiling” is a daily obstacle (chướng ngại vật) faced by Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the workplace that manifests (biểu lộ) itself in regular microaggressions and structural racism, preventing these executives from reaching senior management or C-Suite positions.

You've likely heard about the glass ceiling- the term often used to describe the under representation of women and people of color in management ranks. ABC7's Dion Lim reports on a slight (nhẹ nhàng) twist to that. It's called the "bamboo ceiling," and points to why Asian Americans are the least likely to advance into executive roles.

I am deeply honored to serve as the first Asian American woman at the NM Roundhouse–– not only to break through the glass ceiling, but the bamboo ceiling attached to it.
