"Floppy infant syndrome" nghĩa là gì?

"Floppy infant syndrome" = hội chứng trẻ sơ sinh mềm -> nghĩa là căn bệnh (về thần kinh do di truyền) khiến cơ thể trẻ mềm yếu, giảm trương lực cơ. Trẻ kiểm soát đầu rất kém, chậm phát triển vận động, thường có các vấn đề về ăn uống và hô hấp.

Infants born to mothers who have taken benzodiazepines during the later stages of pregnancy can develop dependence, withdrawal syndrome and symptoms suggestive of floppy infant syndrome.
Until 1976 all botulism (ngộ độc thịt) outbreaks were attributed to pre-formed toxins, however a newer cause of “floppy infant syndrome” was recognized that year – infant botulism.
