A North Carolina bride (cô dâu) had to improvise (ứng biến) on her wedding day when her groom (chú rể) ended up in hospital with food poisoning (ngộ độc thực phẩm) and couldn’t make it to the ceremony.

Christine Karmire partied alongside a mannequin version of her groom, Gannon Karmire.

She called the mannequin “Stick Gannon.” It was made out of a rolling steamer with pool cues, dressed in a suit, with Gannon’s face on it with an iPad.

Karmire, 26, said it was “bittersweet,” but it went as well as it could have, all things considered.

“We still felt loved and celebrated by everyone and are so appreciative of their support,”.

The wedding had already been rescheduled from September due to COVID-19, so they wanted to make sure the ceremony happened, even without Gannon.

Partygoers ended up dancing with “Stick Gannon” for the entire evening.

Gannon joked: “He danced better than me.”
