"Flounder around" có flounder là lúng túng, bối rối -> từ này nghĩa là gặp khó khăn, rắc rối.

There’s much happening that is difficult to explain. However, rather than flounder around in a sea of confusion (bối rối), may I suggest that you leave all vague and muddled questions on one side for the time being. That way you’ll be free to focus on spiritual matters.
